Meet Mrs. Olsen

Mrs. Olsen has been a teacher within the Upper St. Clair School District for the past 19 years. She has taught Fourth Grade at Streams Elementary School, Fifth Grade ELA at Boyce, and is currently the Boyce Middle School Librarian.

Mrs. Olsen has a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also took her graduate courses in Library and Information Sciences. In addition to her Pennsylvania School Librarian certification for grades K-12, she is also a Pennsylvania Certified Teacher for grades K-6.

Mrs. Olsen currently works with Fifth Grade and Sixth Grade students at Boyce. The students attend a 45-minute library class one day each rotation. During class, the goal is to enhance literary and research skills relevant to the 5th and 6th grade curriculum. In addition, Mrs. Olsen hopes to inspire a love for reading, stories, and learning!
