Adult Expectations and General Rules

Adult Expectations

The Deer Valley experience is intended to be educational and fun for students and adults. That’s right…the two can happen at the same time!

Parents and teachers, working together, should strive to make the Earthwarden Program as educational and enjoyable as possible.

As adults, it is our responsibility to model appropriate behavior so that our children have a safe and memorable trip. The tone we set in each activity at Deer Valley many times determines how much the children benefit from the experience. To some extent, the attitude that each child forms about the activities is based on the example we set. Please set a positive example!

While the students are in our care during the trip, we are not to bring or consume any alcoholic beverages. Anyone found doing so is subject to school district policy. Since the Deer Valley trip is a school district function, this request is in the best interest of everyone concerned.

We need to be positive role models for the children at all times!
