Technology Time

Computers play a critical role in our instructional program. Technology Time offers computer opportunities to all children. During a 1½ hour block of time, students are guided through activities to strengthen skills in seeking, sorting, integrating, and analyzing information. A networked computer lab is used to learn word processing, CD ROM, and other related skills, as well as linking the students to worldwide resources. Along with these labs, the library is available for research.

Teachers are encouraged to be creative and flexible in utilizing these stations with their students. In addition to the academic teachers, the librarian, the Challenge teacher, and the computer aides will be available to the team of students during Tech Time. Students will be encouraged to extend experiences with the variety of resources available.
